ECKO Local Event - Inverawe Country Park

ECKO use good areas, have good maps and plan good courses, and when the sun shines and a tea room is within yards of the finish, as it was today; life doesn't get much better!

I ran the Blue (longest) course which was 6.0k with 195m of climb and 20 controls.

LOC Regional Event - Graythwaite

Graythwaite is in the Lake District and has been used for a British Championships and a World Cup race in the past. Former World Championship runner, Carol McNeil, planned some excellent and very technical courses. Competitors were offered a choice of scales - I had a choice of 1:10,000 or 1:7,500, and opted for the latter. Despite that, I still failed to see 13 and was disqualified for going from 12 to 14!
