This was my first night event of the autumn - premarked waterproof map with a single course, a mass start and SI punching. The course was 4.7k with 170m of climb and 18 controls.
I am an enthusiastic orienteer who runs for Forth Valley Orienteers in Scotland. I began orienteering nearly 40 years ago when at school in Cheshire and currently compete in the M55 age class.
This site is a record of my orienteering exploits, with occasional forays into my other hobbies of telemark skiing and watching wildlife.

"results to follow" - all you need to know is that Martin was in the lead leaving number 17 and bottled it at the last control!!!
True - a couple of runners did overtake me when I messed up the last control, but both were nearly caught as they struggled to find the finish!
