
The JK event takes place every Easter and is in memory of Jan Kjellstrom, a Swede, who helped introduce orienteering to Britain. This years event (JK 2009) took place in the Northumbrian Hills. I missed Day 1 which was a Sprint race in Newcastle.
SATURDAY, APRIL 11, 2009
Day 2 took place at Kyloe Hills. I ran M50L which was 6.9k with 310m of climb and 19 controls, and which was won by John Tullie in an impressive 53 minutes.

SUNDAY,APRIL 12, 2009
Day 3 took place at Greensheen and Cockenhaugh. I ran M50L which was 7.4k with 245m of climb and 22 controls, and which was again won by John Tullie.

MONDAY, APRIL 13, 2009
Day 4 was the relays, which took place at Dipton Woods. I ran second leg in a Mens 120+ team with Roger Goddard and Jason Inman. My course was the shortest leg which was 3.4k with 85m of climb and 12 controls.
