Tay 2009 was based on Perth and provided some great orienteering - varied terrain, excellent maps and planning, and wonderful (apart from Day 3!) weather!

As a rather inexperienced M50 orienteer from Ireland, I found your route choices most useful. I learnt a great deal. I was particularly interested on the last day at Loch Ordie. You chose to contour round from 5 to 6 and then from 11 to 12 you went over the top of the hill. I chose the opposite in each case and wondered how you reached your decision. Thanks, Andrew Cox, Wato
Hi Andrew,
I tried to run in marshes where possible because I thought they gave the fastest running.
Interestingly, that wasn't a good choice for 5-6 where my split was slow.
From 11-12 there wasn't any marsh hence my going more direcr.

11 to 12 was surely a mistake :) straight should be great... and save a contour... going past the rock
Agree - it's always good to save a contour!
