Hi Martin
Two questions for your bloggers ?
1)How did Scottish O League event seven 2010 compare to the other six ? There were some great areas this year !!
2) How did Tnto Twin 2010 compare to the other 22 that preceeded it?
From a planners' viewpoint we tried to assert old values of long legs with significant route choice options and noted that you and Hazel took radically different long leg routes at the event?
From a Tinto Twin viewpoint our 8 person club is searching for quality futures for this unique exceptional 24 hour night and day event challenge. We have only brought it north to Speyside 2 years in 23 and have never crossed south of the border or taken it to Deeside , Oban or Morayshire.
What do you or others suggest we do to carry this forward ? TINTO TWIN (BOF harvestor like) or keep it within SOA like an annual mini six day?
Please do no let it die in a few year time on our Biggar doorstep.!!

Hi Dick and Trish,
The Tinto Twin is one of my favourite events of the year. It heralds the start of the new night O season and helps make the shorter days that bit more palatable! Its also manages to be both well organised, yet friendly and informal, making for a sociable weekend. The soup after the Night event also contributes to this!
This years Tinto Twin at Inshriach used one of the best forests in Scotland. That, coupled with good weather, means that this years Tinto Twin compares very favourably with the other SOL's held this year and previous Tinto Twins.
The long legs provided great route choice and on the Short Brown course, on legs 5-6 and 7-8 in particular. Both were the subject of much discussion in the Inshriach Tea Room after the event! Leg 4-5 also provoked some discussion, with me only spotting that the line out of 4 was bent at tea time on Monday. I presume I didn't see it at the time because my thumb compass was covering the line (out of 4) as I ran from 3-4. Overprinting the fence would have helped keep me on track - literally!
This years Tinto Twin was a great event and I'd like to thank you and your fellow Tinto OC members for putting it on. Bring on the 24th!
