Roger Goddard planned tonight's course, with the gaffling working really well at separating runners after the mass start. I ran the Long course which was 4.8k with 18 controls and which was won by Mark Nixon in 38 minutes.
I am an enthusiastic orienteer who runs for Forth Valley Orienteers in Scotland. I began orienteering nearly 40 years ago when at school in Cheshire and currently compete in the M55 age class.
This site is a record of my orienteering exploits, with occasional forays into my other hobbies of telemark skiing and watching wildlife.
