This years Tayside Orienteers Christmas Score Event took place at Kinnoull Hill, on the edge of Perth. Competitors on the long course had 60 minutes to get as many controls as they could, with each control having a points value. A late return resulted in penalty points being deducted. To complicate things further and, in keeping with the season, bonus points were available at selected controls. At the last control, competitors were given a second map (see below) and had to visit 6 controls in order before finishing. Missing or wrong controls resulted in penalty points being deducted. The event was followed by a Christmas lunch at the nearby Murrayshall House Hotel.
