MAROC District Event - Birsemore Hill

Birsemore Hill lies to the south of Aboyne in Deeside and to the east of the Glen Tanar orienteering map. It's use is restricted because of capercailzie (the bird in MAROC's emblem), with no events allowed during the spring and summer. I ran the Brown (longest) course which was 7.1k with 270m of climb and 23 controls. Drahokoupil Ales of GRAMP won in an impressive time of 64:22, with fellow M50 Roger Coombs (back in Scotland after 2 years in Norway) second.
