Creag Mhic Chailein is part (oak) wood and part open, with a wealth of contour detail to provide a stern technical challenge and lots of climb and bracken to provide an even sterner physical test!
I ran the Mighty Thistle course which was 12.4k with 23 controls - there were to be 24 controls, but number 19 was within an area of new deer fencing and so was removed from the course. Douglas Tullie recorded the fastest time of the day of a little more than 95 minutes, closely followed by other runners from Edinburgh University.
