I've run in the south west part of todays area (Dalton) once before - in 1976 on a 2 coloured (black and brown) map made by Mel Wilkinson. My recollection was of a tough and technical area and today, 35 years later, I've been reminded how tough and technical it is!
I ran Short Brown/M50L which was 6.8k with 300m of climb and 17 controls, and which was won by Martin Bagness in 57.10.
