Dunachtonmore is the area previously called Craigbui and is a fantastic mix of birch woods, pine plantation and open areas. I ran the Brown course which was 7.3k with 290m of climb and 19 controls. I took 51 minutes and was in 4th place, some 3 minutes behind Steve Nicholson, when I left. I expect that will change as Ben Hartmen, Dave Robertson, Graeme Ackland, Andy Hyslop and a strong contingent from Edinburgh University were all at the event and starting late.
After a string of poor technical races recently, I decided to concentrate on "the process rather than the outcome" - see okansas blogspot for clarification. I found that when I made mistakes at 6 and 12, this helped me put them behind me. Usually I get annoyed with myself, try and make up the time and make more mistakes!
